THOMPSON, Glen David -47, of Elm St., Pictou, died August 15, 2012 at home. Born September 11, 1964 in Pictou, he was a son of Barbara Slaunwhite (Thompson), Pictou. Glen was a hard working, good man. He was employed with Dave Shannon Contracting. Besides his mother he is survived by brother, Andy Thompson, Pictou; sister, Holly McNarmara, Liverpool; and a large extended family. A private family funeral will be held Saturday, August 18, in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in the Stella Maris Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
