Olive Gladys Crawford
The death occurred peacefully at her home in Seawood Estates, Stanley Bridge, P.E.I., on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, of Olive Gladys Crawford (nee Pike), wife of the late Ronald Crawford, age 87 years.
Olive was the beloved mother of Sandy Cleary, Rick Crawford (Deborah) and Holly Courtney (Ray); grandmother of Jon Cleary and Josh Cleary (Charlene); and great-grandmother of Marcus and Olivia. Besides her husband, Ronald, she was predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Minnie (Hayward) Pike; her brothers, Ron and Ernest; and her sister, Vera.
Olive came to Canada in 1946 as a war bride and became truly Canadian in her heart, but never lost her distinctive British accent.
No visitation or funeral service by personal request. Interment at a later date in Cavendish Community Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Central Queen's Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
