Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, August 11, 2012, Mabel J. Turnbull of Freshwater, Carbonear, age 66 years. Predeceased by husband: Fred, sons: Wally and Allison, grandson: Riley Morey, parents: George and Agnes Hiscock, brothers: Douglas, George and Gilbert, sister: Dorothy. Left to mourn, two daughters: Debbie (Glen) Morey, Conception Bay South and Denean (Gus) Adams, Freshwater, Carbonear; four sons: Roger (Cheryl) Hiscock, Carbonear, Brian (Rita) and Larry, both of Alberta and Terry (Tammy), Freshwater, Carbonear; seven grandchildren: Ryan, Candice, Demaris, Caitlin, Alexandra, Lucas and T.J.; four brothers: Wilfred (Ruby) Rees, Spaniard’s Bay, Fred (Shirley) Rees, Whitehorse, Yukon, David (Regina) Hiscock, St. John’s and Elvis (Debbie) Hiscock, Freshwater, Carbonear; three sisters: Thelma (Cecil) Churchill, Toronto, ON, Marjorie (Jim) Penney, Carbonear and Rita (Karl) Slade, Salmon Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Karen Thorne conducted the funeral service on Monday, August 13 from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment took place in the United Cemetery, Freshwater, Carbonear. Donations in her memory may be made to the Mabel Turnbull Memorial Fund.
