Miles Garth Keddy, age 63, of Halifax, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012, at the
Q.E. II, Halifax Infirmary. Born on February 5th, 1949, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late George Edgar Reynolds and Merna Arita (Keddy) Reynolds. Miles was employed for over 25 years at Dexter Construction as a backhoe operator. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He is survived by his wife, the former Janice Darlene Brown; sons, Jason Keddy, Cogmagun; Bradley (Evelyn) Keddy, Centre Burlington; daughter, Amanda Keddy, Halifax; step daughter, Michelle Rafuse, Halifax; grandchildren, Vanessa, Makayla, Bradley, and Faybian Keddy; siblings, Doreen Benedict, Belmont; Darlene (Richard) Sanford, Cogmagun; Clarke Keddy, Belmont; Randy (Sherry) Keddy, Windsor; half brothers, Arthur (Joanne) Reynolds and Laurie (Eleanor) Reynolds, both in British Columbia; sisters-in-law, Barb Keddy, Denise Keddy and Jeannie Brown; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, George Edgar Reynolds and Merna Arita (Keddy) Reynolds; he was predeceased by his brothers, Terry Keddy and Kenneth Keddy; sister, Sheila Keddy; half sister, Joan Simmons; brother-in-law, Reid Benedict. Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service was 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 23rd, 2012, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Sandyland Cemetery, Cogmagun, Hants County. Family flowers only.
