GODFREY, Darlene Alma (nee Nute)
Darlene Godfrey passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday, August 17, 2012 at home in Bedford, NS. Born in Victoria, BC, Darlene along with Philip, her husband of 53 years, spent most of her married life on the East Coast, raising their seven children in Windsor. A very loving wife, mother, nanny and great grandmother, she will be forever loved and deeply missed by Philip, Michael (Wendy), Marc (Mary), Mary (Tom), Fred (Dean-Na), Maurene (Ron), Michelle (Reg) and Matthew (Karen); her twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She will be missed also by her two sisters, two brothers; her sister-in-law and all their families along with many cousins and friends across the country. She was predeceased by her sweet granddaughter Nathalie, her parents, her brother and two nieces. Darlene worked many years with Kentville Publishing and NS Publishing (Telegraph Journal). Special thanks from Philip and the family to the Palliative Care and Home Care Support Services for the excellent care and understanding they gave, especially to Devon who made her feel very valued.
