It is with great sadness that the family of the late Martha Loretta Legge announce her passing on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 86 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Diane Barker (Bill), Blanche Connors (Fred), Regina Batstone, Calvin Legge (Ellen Tilley), Derrick Legge and Linda Ricketts (Jack George); special granddaughter Lori MacDonald (Darrel); 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; sister Elsie Lundrigan; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Legge, sons-in-law: Loyola Ricketts and Joe Batstone, step-grandson Brian Batstone, sister Isabel Lawrence, brothers: Joe and Edmund Curtis, parents Ronald and Elizabeth Curtis. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 25 at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
