Everett Boulay

Born: April 3rd, 1929

BOULAY, EVERETT - It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Everett Boulay at his residence in Belledune at the age of 83. Born in Belledune on Apr. 3, 1929, he is the son of the late Horace Boulay Sr and the late Albina Doucet. Everett worked as a millwright at the Belledune Fertilizer plant for a period of over 20 years and as a construction worker after his retirement from the Fertilizer. In his younger years, Everett was very active in his parish, being a member of the administrative council of St John the Evangelist Parish for many years. He was a member of the church choir for over 60 years. He also spent many hours upkeeping the grounds of the church and parish cemeteries, overseeing the opening and closing of graves for many of his fellow parishioners. Family was of the utmost importance in his life and he cherished his wife, children and grandchildren. Besides his loving wife of 49 years, Georgette (Guitard), Everett is survived by his two sons and their families: Robert (Bernadette McCarthy) and their children Daniel, Emma and Sam of Miramichi, NB, and John (Lyne Ouellet) and her children Samuel and Roxanne of North Tetagouche, NB. Also surviving are his sisters Theresa McCoy of Gore Bay, ON, Bernadette Turner of Moncton, Patricia Malone of Burlington Mass., Ann (Parnell) Kelly of Charlottetown PEI, his twin sister Esther Roy of Bathurst, his mother-in-law Loza Guitard of Pointe-Verte, several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law as well as many nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews. Besides his mother and father, he was predeceased by his sisters Doris, Sarah, Phyllis, Lea, Mary and Carmel and his brothers Lionel, Horace Jr. and Alfred.
Visitations will be held at St John the Evangelist Parish funeral parlour on Sunday, August 26th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A celebration of Everett's life will take place on Monday, August 27th at 11am at St John the Evangelist Church in Belledune. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home in Black Point.
