Leo MacDonald, age 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 24th, 2012 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in East Bay, Leo was the son of the late Duncan and Katherine (MacMaster) MacDonald.
Leo is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Florence (MacNeil). Leo is also survived by sisters, Anne (Michael) MacIntyre, and Jean (Jim) Finn; brothers, Malcolm (Mary), and Paul (Pam). Leo will also be lovingly remembered by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Leo was predeceased by his parents, Duncan and Katherine; sisters Teresa, Helen and Elaine; brothers, Donnie, Francis and Charlie.
Leo had a special love for horses and Scottish music.
Following Leo's request, there will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Barra’s Church, Christmas Island, on Tuesday, August 28th, 2012, at 11 a.m. with Father Dan MacInnis presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of Chants Funeral Home.
