Mary (Mae) Munson (nee Cramond) born in Glasgow, Scotland on February 21, 1919, passed away August 22, 2012 with her family by her side.

Mae was predeceased by her husband Paul in 1983 and her great grandson, James Allen in 1992.

Mae was educated in Scotland and was a secretary all her working life. She came to Canada in 1946, as a British war bride, and settled in Winnipeg, enjoying 40 years of marriage to Paul, a former member of the Canadian Armed Forces.

She leaves to mourn three sons; Allan (Denise), James (Roswitha) and Douglas (Maureen). Eight grandchildren; Catherine (Mark), Shawn (Jennifer), Cory (Selena), Trevor, Randy (Roxanne), Taralee, Brandon and Curtis. Six great grandchildren; Cole, McKenna, Savannah, Jaiyden, Olivia, and Lincoln. Also her brother-in-law Milne and numerous nieces and nephews overseas.

Mae enjoyed 26 years of working at Watkins Company and 20 years as a custom knitter for Ram's Wools both in Winnipeg. Mae's hobbies included knitting, five-pin bowling, and volunteering for the Royal Canadian Branch 97 Legion ladies auxiliary in Winnipeg. She was also an active member of the British War Brides Club. She loved dancing, cribbage, and took pleasure in meeting and conversing with people.

Mae felt that Canada was good to her and hoped she was good for Canada in maintaining a community spirit and has always cherished members of her family.

Special thanks to the staff of the Royal Inland Hospital and Ponderosa Lodge for their excellent care and sensitivity in looking after Mae. Heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Paul Farrell for his thoughtfulness, kindness and compassion he has shown, over the years, in his care of Mae.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations in memory of Mary (Mae) Munson to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, #11 - 450 Lansdowne St. Kamloops, B. C. V2C 1Y3.

At Mae's personal request, no formal funeral service will be held.
