Michael David (Mike) Powley

November 21, 1941- August 22, 2012
Born and raised in Vancouver, Mike Powley died peacefully after a brief illness at Peace Arch Hospice with family by his side.
Mike is survived by his wife, Rosemarie (Mulligan) R.N.; daughter, Marianne; son, David (Renee); and three grandchildren, Samuel, Regan and Alexander. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Jack Mulligan (Alta); and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Murphy (Leonard), both of P.E.I.
He was predeceased by his father, David Alexander Powley (a Warrant Officer in the RCAF, killed in action in WW II ); his mother, Molly; and sisters-in-law, Margaret Spenard (Ray) and Anne McCarville (Vernon).
Mike lived life to the fullest. He wore many hats and he was well liked by all who knew him.
No memorial service, by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the White Rock/South Surrey Hospice in memory of Mike Powley. ATTN. Residence Fund, 15510 Russell Avenue, White Rock, B.C., V4B 2R3.
