SCHMIDT, Joseph John passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Gravelbourg, SK on August 22, 2012, with family at his side. Joe was born on July 1, 1927, on 06-08-06-3 in the Meyronne district, SK, to John Schmidt and Eva Wagner. Joe was a loving and giving man who enjoyed the company of others and was always there when someone was in need. His passion included driving truck, playing his guitar with family and friends, and was a devoted member of the Kincaid Lions Club for over 11 years. Joe was predeceased by his parents, John and Eva Schmidt, his brother Donnie Schmidt, his sister Doris Shorell and his wife Margaret Scutt. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and is survived by his partner Yvette Achter, brother Roger Schmidt, son Dennis (Donna) Scutt, son Mike Scutt, daughter Elsie (Darryl) Frank, daughter Carrie (Larry) Gimel, daughter Margie (Jerry) Wasynuk, son Ken (Judy) Scutt, son Jim (Phyllis) Scutt, son Clarence Scutt, son Cliff (Jean) Scutt and stepchildren Curtis Achter, Troy (Jen ) Achter and Sandy (Mordecai) Weiterman plus 31 Grand Children and 21 Great Grand Children. Funeral Service will take place in the Spring of 2013.
