GEIDE, WALTER - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Walter William Geide at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born December 29, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York and was the loving husband of Patricia (White) Geide. Walter was a member of Branch #69 Legion, and Thursday lunch group. He enjoyed his summers in Lepreau, and the winters he resided in Largo, Florida. He was predeceased by his parents William and Bertha (Liable) Geide; his brother Arthur; and his first wife Joan (Kerr) Geide. He is survived by his sons Michael(Kelly), Steve (Jennifer), David (Tina), Brian (Gwen), Kevin (Teresa) all of Florida Keys; daughter Dianna Burdette of Georgia; and step daughter Heidi White of Saint John; eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road Saint John (646-2424). Following Walter’s requests there will be no visiting or funeral service. A private family memorial will be held in Florida at a later date. A celebration of Walter’s life and Legion tribute will be held at Branch #69 Legion on Saturday, September 1st, 2012 at 12:00pm.
