Aged 86 years of Bell Island. Passed peacefully away in the arms of her loving daughter Beverly, her angel in disguise, on August 29, 2012 at Parklane Terrace Nursing Home, Paris, Ont. Predeceased by husband Kevin 2009, parents William and Ellen Jackman, sisters Mary and Margaret, brother William Jr. Leaving to cherish her memories her son Bob (John Roche), daughter Beverly (Randy Gamble), four precious grandchildren Julie Koot (Dan), Bobby Gamble (Katie), Stacey (Corey Melendy) Adam Stone (Alison Marshall), four great-grandchildren Olivia and Hannah Koot, Josuha and Shilo Gamble; her brother Ron Jackman (Nancy), Grande Cache, Alta., sister and best friend Florence Gabriel, St. Georges and special niece Terri-Lynn Gabriel, Dartmouth, N.S.; also four special girls who she thought of as daughters Diane, Jacquie, Gladys and Connie; her special friends Catherine Harding, Elsie Dunne and many nieces and nephews throughout Canada, in addition to some one hundred and forty-five foster children in thirty-five years of their loving care. There will be no visitation at Vera’s request .A mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday September 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery Bell Island. All are welcome to a reception at the parish hall after mass to meet and greet family members. No flowers by request, donations in her memory can be made to the Wabana Boys and Girls Club, P.O.
