PICTOU – Robert John Wallace “Robbie” Robinson, 48, of Acadia Street, Pictou, passed away August 30, 2012.
Born June 24, 1964 in Etobicoke, Ontario, Robbie was the son of Robert Robinson, Riverton and Marjorie (Sullivan) Robinson, Pictou.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his loving partner, Laurie Gillis; sister, Donna; several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Wallace and Margaret Sullivan; and paternal grandparents, Ansel and Mary Robinson.
Robbie worked many years as a boilermaker and was a proud member of Local 73, International Brotherhood of Boilermakers.
Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Monday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in Seaview Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Braeside Inn, Pictou.
