Beatrice passed away peacefully at home on August 30, 2012 at the age of
89, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Margaree Harbour, she was
the daughter of the late Henri P. and Louise Anne (Roach) LeFort. She
was a truly devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Beatrice lovingly
welcomed anyone who came to her door. She extended her kindness to all,
no one left without enjoying a good meal. Her grand children will always
remember her jam- jams and homemade bread. Mé mère had a wonderful sense
of humor, a deep faith and a positive outlook on life, which sustained
her to the end. Beatrice was a resident of King Street her whole married
life with the exception of 15 years she and Joe spent in Cheticamp.
While there they were avid members of the Senior Citizens Club and
Beatrice was one of the founding members of the Ladies Auxiiary of the
Cercle Evangeline in New Waterford. Her greatest joy was her family, she
especially cherished the family gathering, the laughs, the songs, and
stories. She was exceptionally proud of her “Boys” and the happiness
they brought her. Beatrice truly enjoyed a game a cribbage and her
favorite TV shows “Jeopardy” and “The Golden Girls”. She was a simple
woman who gave to everyone but asked for nothing in return. Beatrice is
survived by her sons, Clifford (Eileen), Bernie (Beth), Cyril (Anne),
Gerard (Karen), Michel “Mic” (Maureen), Joey (Sandra), Maurice (Lori),
16 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren. Also surviving are
sisters- in- law, Mathilda, Zabeth, Dora, Laurette, Pauline, Jane,
Shirley; and brothers- in -law Leo, Victor, and several nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by her husband William Joseph (Joe)
Boudreau, sons Richard and Bobby and grandson David, also brothers Paul
Joe, Daniel, Leo, Charlie and Clifford ; sisters Mary Mae, Agnes, and
Jeannette. Beatrice was the last surviving member of her immediate
family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. By her request
there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Funeral
Arrangements are under the direction of Mclellan Brothers Funeral Home,
3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford 862-7500. A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated today, Saturday, Sept 01, 2012 at 10 AM in the Parish
of Saint Leonard, New Waterford, with Father Ray Huntley officiating. A
reception will take place at the Parish Hall, Convent Street. Burial
will take place in Cheticamp Cemetery, Sunday, Sept 02, 2012 at 1:30 pm
with Father Peter Le Blanc officiating. Donations in her memory can be
