INGMAR GUST CHRISTIANSON

INGMAR GUST CHRISTIANSON

Born: April 1st, 1927

Passed in: Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada
Passed on: August 28th, 2012

Dad passed away peacefully in the early morning. Dad had lived at Overlander for the past three years, where he was well loved and respected.

Dad moved to Kamloops in 1959 when he bought the Leland Hotel. For the next 40 years Dad owned and operated many other businesses all in the hospitality industry. He was an accomplished businessman and an awesome husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Dad loved to travel, golf and gamble, but the thing that Dad loved to do the most was have a conversation with all that he met, whether a friend or stranger. He was truly interested in everyone and no one stayed a stranger for long.

Dad was predeceased by his son Richard and the love of his life, his wife Eileen.

He is survived by his daughter Diana (Connie), granddaughters Tami-Lynn (Steve), Abbey-Lee, daughter-in-law Deirdre, great grandson Ryley, sister-in-law Ethel, numerous cousins, nephews and nieces and many friends.

Dad was grateful for the loving support of his friends Billy, Frank, Stephen, John, Gerry, Teresa and Bob.

Thank you to Overlander Residential Care and all the wonderful staff and residents. You all meant a great deal to Dad. Also, a special Thank You to the pet visitors, it was always something that Dad looked forward to.

There will not be a funeral at Dad's request. Interment at Hillside Cemetery on Thursday, September 6th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.

Should friends desire, donations to the Overlander Auxiliary in memory of Ingmar Christianson would be appreciated
