TRENTON – Donald Andrew MacGillivray, age 72, of Elm Street, Trenton, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at home surrounded by his family.
Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Andrew and Annie (Lafferty) MacGillivray.
He was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, the Concerned Citizens of Trenton and the Pictou County Hall of Fame. He worked most of his life at Hawker Siddeley. He was also an avid Bingo and card player.
He is survived by sons: Scott; Steven (Nancy); John (Loriann), all of Trenton; Joey (Kyla), Pictou; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy Brow; brother, John (Ann) MacCallum.
He was predeceased by loving wife Mary Ann (Darroch) MacGillivray and sister Joyce MacDonald.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton. A graveside service will be held at 12 noon Saturday in Christ the King Cemetery with Father Gary MacPherson officiating.
