DICKIE, Judith (Judy) Anne, age 58, of Pennant, SK passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Weyburn, SK on February 21, 1954 to Alfred and Kathleen Morris, and was the third child of four. She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis of 30 years; her two sons Brett and Kelly; her mother Kathleen Morris (Saskatoon, SK); her two brothers Bill Morris (Saskatoon, SK) and Bob (Carole) Morris (Weyburn, SK); and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Alfred Morris in 1986, and her sister Maureen Ffoulkes-Jones in June of 2012. She completed a Medical Laboratory Technician diploma at NAIT in Edmonton (1975), and also later completed her Agriculture diploma at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon (1981). Judy moved to Pennant, SK in 1981, and married Dennis on June 19, 1982. They moved to the family farm near Battrum, SK in the fall of 1982 where she lived until her passing. She had a love of life, and adored nature in its purest form. Judy just loved taking a peaceful walk with nature to see what she could find. She was an avid gardener, and her days were often spent working on the multiple flower gardens, trees rows, and vegetable gardens that she had put together on the farm. She had an amazing backyard display for friends and family to see whenever they visited, and each item had a story. Judy lived for her pets, and they spent most of the day with her wherever she went. She always had a new story about the birds that were showing up at the farm to nest. She grew up loving horses, and was always very involved in taking care of the cows on the farm. Judy lived at the hockey rink for twenty years as she was always on the road either driving her boys to their games, or going to watch them play once they were away from home. She watched hundreds of hockey games through the years, but was still eager to watch whenever she could. Judy was a loving wife, and mother, who lived her life with humor and passion, and brought fun into everything that she did. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Donations in memoriam may be made to the SPCA or the charity of the donor’s choice. As per Judy’s request, no funeral will be held.
