McLAUGHLIN, William Albert “Willie” – 51, Truro, formerly of Great Village, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born June 23, 1961, in Truro, he was a son of the late Ivan and Priscilla (Neil) McLaughlin. Willie was a truck driver with many companies over the years. He was a former member of Great Village Fire Brigade for many years. He enjoyed playing darts in many leagues and tournaments and won many trophies. An avid baseball fan, he enjoyed watching his favourite team, Toronto Blue Jays. Willie was a happy-go-lucky kind of guy, always laughing and joking around. Willie is survived by his aunt, Isabelle Pratt, Middle Sackville; uncles, Allen (Sheila) Neil, Bible Hill; Gordon Neil, Truro; many cousins. A graveside interment service for family and close friends will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, September 9, 2012, in Folly Village Cemetery, 983 Highway 2, Glenholme, Carol Gillard, M.Div., officiating.
