It is with great sadness that the family of the late Kenneth Payne announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Friday, January 15th, 2010, in his 85th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife, Bertha (nee Payne); his daughters: Florence (Reg) Reid of Fort McMurray, AB, Greta (Curtis) Hutchings of Cow Head, NL, Sandra (Dave) Hewitt of Boyd’s Cove, NL and Trudy Plamondin (Bob) of Lamont, AB; his sons: Gerald of St. Lawrence, NL, Guy (Ruth) of Cow Head, NL, Darin (Brenda) of Fort McMurray, AB and Leon (Cindy) of Quispamsis, NB; his 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; his brother, Emanuel (Bride) of Cow Head, NL; his sister, Annie Mae Reid (Eugene) of Cow Head, NL; his sisters-in-law: Mary Payne (Claude) and Alice Payne, both of Cow Head, NL; his brothers-in-law: Lawrence (Sarah) Payne of Cow Head, NL and Richard (Lucy) Payne of Pasadena, NL. Father was predeceased by his parents, Charles & Deborah Payne; brothers: Alex, Hedley, Gerald and Stanley; sisters: Ellen Anne, Mabel Decker; his grandson, Baby Payne; his daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Payne and his brothers-in-law: Donald Payne and Henry Reid. Also leaving to mourn a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family, friends and his extended family: Bob Payne, Mary Payne, Pamela Payne, Rob Downey and Randy Plamondin. The family will be receiving family and friends from the St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Cow Head, today, Saturday, January 16th, 2010 from the hours of 7-9 p.m. and continuing on Sunday, January 17th, 2010 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where also the funeral service will take place on Monday, January 18th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Jean Brenton Hickman officiating. Burial to follow at the church cemetery in Cow Head, NL. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kenneth’s memory can be made to the St. Mary’s Anglican Church Building Fund.
