Passed away suddenly on Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by his loving family, John Melvin Moores, age 62 years. Predeceased by his parents, Melvin. and Beulah (Jenkins). Left to mourn, loving wife of 41 years, Sandra (LaFosse); two loving sons: Jason (Heather) and Jarrod; three sisters: Elizabeth Baker (Maurice), Patricia Iyoupe (Herman) and Carol Squires (Paul); four brothers: Jim (Ruth), Gerald, Robert, and Glenn (Donna); two wonderful sisters-in–law: Dolores Robertson and Annette LaFosse; his riding buddy, Ed; also other relatives and friends. John was a long standing member of the Anchorman Barber Shop Chorus and will be sadly missed by his fellow members. Cremation has taken place at John's request. Family will be receiving visitors at Carnell's Visitation and Reception Centre, 1045 Topsail Road, on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Topsail United Church on Monday September 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Topsail United Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the Dialysis Unit at the Waterford Hospital.
