Passed peacefully away at the Masonic Park Nursing Home, Mount Pearl, on September 2nd 2012 Ruby Butt age 86 years. Predeceased by husband Dorman John (Jack); daughter Lori Slaney (nee Butt), parents Allan and Prudence Freeman, brothers Archibald, Frank, Austin, William, Reginald, Clifford and Harry; sisters Dorothy and Florence. Left with loving memories are her daughter Florence (Jim) Paterson of Moncton, sons Jack (Sandra) of Iroquois, ON, Terry of Paradise, Craig (Paula) of Portugal Cove, son-in-law Con Slaney, Gander, grandchildren Rodney, Douglas, Jason, Andrew and Brian, great-grandchildren Marcus, Anna, Keenan, Kensington, Emily, Olivia, and Katelynn. Also a large circle of relatives and friends, and special friend and care-giver Jennetta Dawe of Gander. Rested at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, September 5th at 2:00 PM from St. Martin’s Anglican Cathedral , Gander. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Gander. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Ruby’s family would like to thank the staff at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Lakeside Homes, Gander, and the Masonic Park Nursing Home, Mount Pearl.
