HAMATY, Muriel Janet (Mallett) of Quincy, died August 6, 2012 after a brief illness. Beloved wife of the late Elton J. Hamaty. Loving mother of Bruce Hamaty of Quincy, Blair Hamaty and his partner William Hayward of Kingston and Jay Hamaty of Somerville. Muriel was originally from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia until she made her home with her family in Quincy. For many years Muriel ran her business "Muriel's Creations" designing, creating and stitching hand made couture doll fashions and bedding for which she was well known and sought after. Muriel devoted her life to her children and grandchildren as well as to her circle of friends and extended family for whom her love was never ending. Muriel's compassion and never ending concern for the well being of others was her legacy. She enjoyed cooking and baking, making sure others were well fed and clothed was important to her. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Canada to visit with family and old friends. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.
