1921 - 2012
With great sadness we announce the passing of our dear Aunt Agnes on September 13, 2012, aged 90 years. Agnes was born on September 30, 1921, the youngest child of Nicholas and Catherine Graas. She spent her youth in the Marquis district, playing baseball and hanging out with her two brothers and sister. She married Russell Robb in 1941 and they farmed in the Archydal area and in later years with the help of Jim Spence. She was the ultimate farmer’s wife, turning her hand to a multitude of tasks in the house and field. Agnes was predeceased by her parents, sister Rose Hawes, brothers Mike and Joe, husband Russell in 2007, and nephew Bob Graas. She is survived by nieces and nephews: Pearl (Ron) Bushell, Elaine (Bernie) Shein, Betty Lutz (Tris Trueman), Joanne (Wayne) Clarke, Lana (Scott) Irwin, Brenda (Darren) Dyck, Todd (Debbie) Graas, Barrie (Helene) Robb, Pat (Henry) Barbier, Gary (Susan) Clark, Yvonne Robb, Phyllis Pritchard and their families. Agnes enjoyed her many friends at Willowdale Court, working puzzles and playing cards. Thanks to the Medical Floor of the Union Hospital for all their care the 2 ½ weeks she was there. The Funeral Service will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Tuesday September 18, 2012 at 1:30 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
