William Frederick Anderson, Coalburn:
Anderson, William Frederick (Fred / Freddie) age 49, of Coalburn, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 15th, 2012, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family.
Born in New Glasgow, on September 28, 1962, he was a son of the late Edwin and Colleen (Lunn) Anderson. Fred was employed at R.P. Hawboldt Machining Limited. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and long walks with his dog, Teddy.
Surviving are his wife, Lorene “Lori” Mason-Anderson; sisters Joanne Lunn (Marcel), Spryfield; Dianne Smith, Beaverbank; Elsie (John) MacLean, Halifax; brothers Edwin “Terk” (Brenda), Trenton; Doug (Holly), Timberlea; George (Cathy), Halifax; Tom (Cindy), Trenton; Darrell (Heather), New Glasgow; Mike (Kim), Little Egypt; Chris (Holly), Hatchet Lake; sister-in-law Joan Anderson, Trenton; in-laws Warren and Sally Mason, Coalburn; brother-in-law, Mike (Vye) Mason, Lower Sackville; sisters-in-law Lisa Mason, B.C.; Terri Mason, New Glasgow; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Henry John Anderson; brothers-in-law, John Smith and Warren Mason Jr. and cherished pets Lucy and Laddy.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday in Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn with Rev. Jeff Lackie officiating. Interment will be in the Thorburn Cemetery.
Family flowers only. Donations may be made in his memory to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society or the SPCA.
