BOWES, Audrey Edna passed away peacefully on September 4, 2012 in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan at the age of 83. Audrey is lovingly remembered by her 2 children Dave (Jackie) Bowes and Deanna Saldana, as well as grandchildren Colin (Katrina), Jennifer, and Sara Bowes and Lauren and Sage Saldana. Audrey was predeceased by her husband Bill in 2005. Audrey was born and raised in Gull Lake. In 1948 Audrey and Bill were married making Gull Lake their home. Audrey worked for many years at the Royal Bank, retiring in 1990 after 22 years of service. She was an active member of the community involving herself in many clubs and associations, often volunteering her time in a bookkeeping capacity. Her many interests included golf, reading, knitting, spending time with her family and joining her special friends for morning coffee. A celebration of her life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Knox United Church in Gull Lake with Reverend Bev Diduck officiating. Music will be preformed by Millie Spagrud, Nora Rudolph and King Gin. The life tribute will be presented by Deanna Saldana and a reading was giving by Jackie Bowes. Colin Bower will be the urnbearers and candles will be lit by Sara Bowes. She will then be laid to rest next to Bill at the Gull Lake Cemetery. Following the service of interment, family and friends are invited to gather in the basement of the Knox United Church. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to remember Audrey may make a donation, in her memory, to the Autumn House. Go forth Mom and join Dad as you walk together forever in God's garden.
