Vernon Wiliam "Bill" Brown
Brown, Vernon William “Bill” - 72, Truro passed away peacefully September 21, 2012 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro with his daughters by his side after a lengthy illness. Born in Tupperville, he was a son of the late Russell and Viola (White) Brown. Bill was a professional fireman for the Town of Truro for 20 years. He also worked in construction, building houses, and retired as a finish carpenter. He was an avid outdoorsman his whole life enjoying hunting, fishing, trapping and bow hunting. Playing golf, especially in Brookfield was also an important part of his life. Bill is survived by daughters, Leah (Kevin) Kincaid, Halifax, Christine Brown, Toronto, Ont. and their mother, Marilyn Brown of Truro; brother, Ken (Mary) Brown, Truro; sisters, Flo (Rudy) Timmerman, Centreville, NS, Lois (Jerry) Arnsby, Toronto, Ont. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Allen Brown. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 am in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, Rev. Jay Ettinger officiating with interment at 3:30 pm in St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Port Williams.
