DAVID CROWLEY

Mr. David Crowley, age 95, formerly of Lawson, SK, passed away with family by his side on Thursday September 20, 2012. Dave was born on the family farm near Lawson, where he received his education prior to joining the RCMP. He then joined the RCAF from 1941-1944 before returning to the family farm. Dave married Arlene Kerr on October 11, 1942 and they would have celebrated their seventieth wedding anniversary on October 11, 2012. Dave was actively involved in the community, the church, Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, Lawson Telephone Company, Odd Fellows, Central Butte Legion and Central Butte Seniors. He is predeceased by his parents John and Josie Crowley; two sisters, May Beggs and Annis Birch and their husbands; nephew Doug Birch and brother-in-law Rea Martin. Dave is survived by his wife of nearly seventy years, Arlene; sons Scott of Lawson, Lee (Shannon) of Swift Current and Blair (Deana) of Lawson; grandchildren Sherrie (Ron) of Calgary, Lindsay (Greg) of Lloydminster, Brett and Devon of Swift Current; great-grandchildren Zoe, Sydney and Ella-Rae; and sister-in-law Marjorie Martin of Hershel. A Graveside Service will be held at Sunset Cemetery on Monday September 24, 2012 at 1:30 pm. Rev. Dave Moore will officiate. Royal Canadian Legion Rites will be conducted by Bert Longhurst.
