We are sad to announce the passing of our mother Doreen on July 5th, 2012 at 85 years old. She died peacefully in her sleep at R.I.H.

She is survived by daughters Hali Hudson of Kamloops and Karen (Randy) Amiro of Calgary. Grandchildren: Ryan & Joseph Amiro of Calgary, Dave (Kathy) Chown of Kimberley, Monique Shebbeare of Vancouver, Harry (Bridget) Shebbeare of Whiterock, Crystal Rankin and Jonathan Rankin of Calgary. Great Grandchildren: Summerlynn Rose Carlson of Calgary, Maya Shebbeare of Vancouver, Carter and Bryce Chown of Kimberley.

Doreen was predeceased by her parents George and Dorothy Wigley, her brother George Joseph Wigley, her son Mark Tully and daughter Sandra Tully (both in 2002).

Mom was born in Vancouver and came to live in Kamloops in 1932. She attended St. Ann's Academy, then Kamloops High School. Mom worked in various jobs in Vancouver until the end of WWII, then returned to Kamloops to work as dispatcher at Vets Taxi Co. She married Howard Tully in 1948 and lived in Santa Rosa, California which was the home of Howard's birth (Turlock, Ca). They returned to Kamloops to raise their 4 children. She taught Sunday school for 15 years at the Calvary Temple and was a charter member of Bethel Tabernacle (now Gateway City Church). She spent many years in visitation especially with the elderly and shut-in's etc., and was a very active church member.

Doreen had many friends and loved boating, fishing, hiking, swimming, music, reading, writing poetry and spending time with friends. She spent her last 5 years living at Bedford Manor where she was happy and active.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Gateway City Church, 163 Oriole Rd., Kamloops (Valleyview) with Pastor Len Denbraber officiating, to say goodbye to her many friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kamloops SPCA.
