On Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, Kent’s four-year fight with cancer ended. His best friend and wife of 30 years, Paula, and his daughter Nikky, the light of his life, and canine buddy Bubba were by his side.
To many, he will be remembered as a fun loving and easygoing individual with his quick wit and smile. Even through his battle with cancer, Kent faced each day without complaint but with determination and a positive outlook. Kent accomplished many things in life, but the most important to him was being a great dad to Nikky.
He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Jean (Boutilier) MacLeod, sister, Catherine MacLeod, and many cherished pets.
He is survived by his sister, Louse (Wayne) Barkhouse. Also mourning his loss are his second family — Paula’s parents Audrey and Gerard McNeil, sister-in-law Donna (Bob) Smith, brother-in-law Michael (Carm) McNeil, and extended family Martin Pyra, Nick LeBlanc, Wendy Johnston and Sarah Ernst.
As per Kent’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under the care of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford.
