Walter “Mickey” Laughlin passed away peacefully on Sept. 20, 2012, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of 56 years to Dolores Walsh. Loving father of the late Laurie and Kerry (Craig Ryan). Will be forever a cherished “Poppa” to Erin, Colleen and Kelly. Brother to the late Sadie Mannette, Dartmouth, N.S., and Roy Laughlin, Summerside. Brother-in-law of Pat and Jim Kikendall, California. He was born in Summerside and remained proud of his P.E.I. roots. Mickey was a proud Canadian and served his country in WWII, where he was wounded in the Italian campaign. He re-enlisted and served in the Ordinance Corps. His passion was curling where he enjoyed the skills of the game and socializing with his good friends. He also passed on this love of the game to his children and grandchildren. Resting at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White, 5610 Sherbrooke West, Montreal, Sunday, Sept. 23. Funeral mass at St. Monica’s Parish Monday at 10 a.m.
