It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the peaceful passing of Anna Fraser on Monday, Sept. 24, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with her family by her side.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Gustavo and Anastasia (Bzan) Traveglini.
Anna was a member of St. Eugene’s CWL, the Italian Hall and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 78, Dominion. She enjoyed singing karaoke at the Sand Bar and was famous for her delicious spaghetti.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Fraser; her daughter, Sandra Fraser.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Leandro Traveglini and nephew, Christopher Lee.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. A funeral mass celebrating her life will be on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 11 a.m. in St. Eugene’s Church, Dominion. The Rev. Daniel Boudreau will be officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
