ARVIS- Louis Clayton- 69, of Port Maitland, Yarmouth Co., passed away September 24, 2012 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born September 12, 1943 in Pleasant Lake, Yarmouth Co, he was a son of the late Perley and Ruby (Thompson) Jarvis. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards. Louis was baptised at the Greenville Baptist Church in Yarmouth County. He is survived by son, Scott of Toronto and Louis's former wife Brenda of Yarmouth; brothers, Glendon (Vera) Greenville, Yarmouth Co., Melvin (Ethel), Greenville, Yarmouth Co.; sisters, Thelma (Leroy) Lawrence, Greenville, Yarmouth Co., Mildred Eskins, Montreal, twin sister, Rev. Louise ( Rev. Bill) Crawford, Greenville, Yarmouth Co., and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he is predeceased by brothers, Maynard, Howard, Gary, and Everett. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Sweeny’s Funeral Home. A funeral service was held Friday September 28, 2012 at 2 pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. William Crawford and Rev. Alden Fells officiated. Interment followed in Greenville Cemetery Yarmouth Co. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
