Janie Peori passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of Denis and Aimee Burns.
Janie is survived by her loving husband, Hector; her sons, Heckie (Dea), Dominion and Arneldo (Valerie), Elmsdale and her daughters, Yvonne (John), Homeville, Rita (Allan), River Ryan and Patricia (Francis), River Ryan. She is survived by her grandchildren, Ian, Todd, Melissa, Denise, Jamie, Brad, Aaron, Andrew, and Lindsay. She also leaves to mourn her great-grandchildren, Cynthia, Sophia, Keegan, Emrick and Ella.
She is also survived by her brother, Michael and sister, Dorothy.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Theresa and Yvonne, and her brothers, Joe, Henry and William.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be held Saturday, Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. at St. Eugene’s Church, Dominion, with a reception to follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
