MILLS , ISABEL MARY JANE - 1930-2012 - Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, at the Oromocto Public Hospital on September 27, 2012, Isabel Mary Jane Mills, Waasis, went to be with Jesus. She joined “her own true love” of 58 years, Lee Mills, who went ahead four years ago. Isabel was a virtuous woman of God and a faithful member of Works of Faith Assembly in Waasis where she was known affectionately as the “candy lady” by children and adults alike. She was often heard to say she hated no one and prayed for everyone. She was a friend to all, especially those who struggled. She exemplified Proverbs 31: 26 – 28 “She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her mouth was the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.”
She leaves behind two daughters: Shirley Trites, Moncton, and Eva Mills Allen (Barry), Tracyville; five sons: Nelson Mills (Brenda), Fort McMurray; Allison Mills, at home; Carman Mills (Marylynn), Rusagonis; Robin Mills (Shianne), Rusagonis, and Steven Mills (Shannon), Rusagonis; 21 Grandchildren: Brenda, Tammy and Anya Trites; Heather Nash; Jody and Jennifer Claus; Sonya Kajari; Amber Wilson; Jason, Victoria, Ben, Celeste, Aaron, Adam, Josh, Jerrica, Abigail, Rebecca, Marissa, Sierra and Lucas Mills; 15 Great-grandchildren; two Great-Great Grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Jones, Saint John; two brothers, Doug Agnew, Washington, DC, and Ralph Agnew, Sussex; and several nieces and nephews. Isabel was predeceased by her husband, Lee; her mother, Eva Brewer (EffiSkoupi) and father, George Agnew; brothers Bill, Henry, Leonard and Frank Agnew, and Great-Granddaughter, Aleshia Claus.
Visitation will be held between 2 pm and 4 pm and 7 pm and 9 pm on Sunday, September 30 at Works of Faith Assembly, 1095 Route 655 Hwy, Waasis. A tribute to Isabel’s life will take place Monday, October 1 at 2 pm at Works of Faith Assembly. Interment will follow at the Rusagonis Cemetery.
