SPINNEY, Jacqueline “Jackie” Louise - 80, Kingston NS, passed away suddenly at home Monday October 1, 2012.Born in Wolfville, NS, she was the daughter of the late T. Earl and Louise (Jacques) Farnsworth. Jackie was a graduate from Mack Business College, Kentville. Along with her husband Clare they operated Spinney’s General Store in Centreville for many years and she was later employed at Hiltz Dry Goods in Kentville until retirement. Jackie was an active member of the Centreville Baptist Church and in the community. Later she became a member of the Kingston Baptist Church. She was a very social person who enjoyed a good game of cards and the company of family and friends. She is survived by son, Tom (Elizabeth), Middleton, granddaughter, Mary, Bridgewater, half-sisters, Judith Savin, Toronto; Jean (Wayne) Pottie, Halifax; Ruth (Darrell) Richards, Kentville, sisters-in-law, Irene Spinney, Greenwood Square; Mary Norman, Bridgewater and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Clare and step mother, the former Zilpha Jefferson. Visitation was held from 6-9 pm, Wednesday October 3, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448. Funeral service was held 2 pm, Thursday October 4, in Kingston United Baptist Church, Reverend Leon Langille officiating. Interment in the Aylesford Union Cemetery.
