SOMERVILLE, MARGARET B. - 1907 - 2012 - It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Margaret Belle Somerville (Nee Hennigar) at Riverside Court, Woodstock on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the age of 105 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, George Aubrey Somerville, as well as her parents, Lois and John Hennigar, brothers Emerson and Fred and sisters, Myra (MacLaren) and Gladys (Pirie). She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn McLeod and grandchildren, Ross and Margot McLeod. She also leaves great grandchildren Devon, Connor and Ryley McLeod and several nieces and nephews. Born in Noel, Nova Scotia. She moved to Grand Falls NB at the age of seven and resided in the Florenceville-Bristol area for over 80 years. Gardening, music and reading were her passions. Peggy was church organist in the Bristol United Church for several years and an active member of the Eastern Star. She was one of the founding members of the Florenceville Garden Club and liked nothing better than playing bridge with her many friends. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of the Special Care Unit at Riverside Court Retirement Residence in Woodstock for the wonderful care she received while she was a resident there.
Visitation will be held from Faith Memorail United Church, 175 Burham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Elaine Strawbridge officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may made to Faith Memorial United Church 175 Burnham Rd.
