(November 18, 1939 – October 5, 2012) – Passed peacefully away from a courageous battle with Kidney Dialysis at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L.A. Miller Center, Alexander Everett Goulding. Predeceased by his mother Elsie; father Edgar; daughter Michelle; granddaughter Melissa and brother Arthur. Leaving to mourn with great sadness his wife Elsie of 50 years; one son Alexander Jr. (Marion); four daughters: Linda (Harry), Karen (Joe), Kimberley (Derek), and Loralyn (Chris); 14 grandchildren: Ryan, Scott, Michael, Kayla, Amy, Darren, Kenny, Krista, A.J., Tyrone, Nicole, Natasha, Jordan and Mitchell; two great-grandchildren: Brandon and Connor. Also leaving to mourn one sister Sylvia (Mac); four brothers: George (Pearl), William (Myrtle), Cecil and Joseph (Betty Ann); as well many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Alex was an employee with Marine Atlantic for 35 years. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Sunday and from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Monday. Funeral service to be held from Topsail United Church on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in The United Church Cemetery, Topsail.
