It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Annie M. Gaudet (nee Gauthier) age 90 of Amherst on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at her home.
Born in North Rustico, PEI, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Priscilla Gauthier.
Annie had a great love and compassion for her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She truly enjoyed having company drop by for a cup of tea and a chat. It was a treat to receive a handwritten letter from her.
Annie will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children, Dalhus (Brenda), Amherst, Alan (Sandra), Acton, ON, Beverley (Fred) Cameron, Amherst, Linda (Terry) White, New Glasgow, NS, Trudy (Gerard) Richard, Riverview, NB, and Wendy (Paul) Maltais, Moncton, NB; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Annie was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was predeceased by her husband, Frank in 1983; as well as her brothers and sisters.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the VON Homecare, who were so wonderful to our mom and made it possible for her to remain at home. Also thanks to her very special friends and family especially those from PEI who made regular visits. Mom will be dearly missed
In keeping with Annie’s wishes cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst (667-9906). There will be no visitation by request.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery. A reception will take place in the Parish hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Nova Scotia or the charity of your choice.
