It is with deep sadness, that we announce the passing of our father, Charles Fraser, on Sept. 17, 2012. After a courageous battle with cancer, he passed peacefully at the age of 88, with family by his side.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jeanne Fraser.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Jane Fraser, Sydney, N.S. Predeceased by his brother, James (Florence), and longtime partner, Vivian Pilon.
Survived by his sisters, Gertie Jones (Charles), Ruby McVicar (Stewart) and Edna Harwood (Patrick). He will be forever loved, and sadly missed by his children, Charles (Marie-Paul), Gordon, Robert (Carolyn), Carole Griffin (nee Fraser), Kevin (Tanya), Bruce, Dale Pilon (Kimberly). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Sabrina, Anna, Dylan, Elise, Michael, Andrea, Cody, Brendan, and Olivia.
Charlie was born in Sydney, N.S. He served as a Merchant Seaman in the Second World War, and also served in the Canadian Army. He will be remembered as an individual who embraced life as an entertainer, reciting poetry of Robert Service and singing, always joking, making sure all his company had a good time. Charlie loved telling tales of the past, was an avid sports enthusiast and thoroughly enjoyed the company of his dog, Champ. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A Celebration of Charlie’s life was held at the National Field of Honour, Pointe Claire, Que. on Sep. 24, 2012.  A donation can be made to your favourite charity in his memory.
