Scott passed away, at home, surrounded by his family, on Sunday October 7, 2012 at the age of 41.
Loving husband of Tammy Zubyck (née Belair) and step-dad to Gabrielle. Son of Jeannette McChesney and the late Francis McChesney. Dear brother of Yvonne, Greg (Terry Lee) and Mark (Denise). He is also survived by his father-in-law and his mother-in-law Richard and Diane Bélair; his sister-in-law Nathalie (Paul); his uncles Elmer (Dorothy) and Laurence; his aunts Ann (Angus) and Helen. He will be missed by his nieces Kaitlyn, Emilie, Tegan, Tori and his nephews Nicholas and Rhys as well as many close friends.
Scott was an avid athlete throughout his life but perhaps better known for his goaltending skills during his school years. He went on to graduate from Acadia University in 1994 and was most proud when recruited to the RCMP in 1996. He was posted to Dawson Creek, BC, where he spent nine years enjoying the work and making many friends. In 2005, he transfered to Ottawa and worked in the field of Protective Policing where he had the opportunity to travel worldwide. Scott was best known by all who knew him for his bright smile, gregarious personality and contagious laugh and most loyal fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The family would like to thank the Oncology staff at the Ottawa General Hospital with a special thanks to Doctors Louise Coulombe and Vincent Young for their compassionate care.
