It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Vera Bonnell on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Port Lorne, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Earl and Theresa (Lewis) Sabean.
She enjoyed walking, and spending time with her family and collecting jewelry. She would spend hours watching the shopping network and collecting clocks.
Vera is survived by her children, Linda (Brian) Sabean,Port Lorne, Dennis Bonnell (Darlene Letournal), Michael Bonnell (Diane Bradbury), both of Sydney; her wonderful grandchildren, Christine (Michel), Shaun (Nadine), Justin, Virjillia (T.J.), Devin and Jennifer; great-granddaughter, Alexis; brother, Watson Sabean (Doreen), Calgary; as well as her cat, Snuggle.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Dennis Shawn Bonnell and brother, Earl Dennis Sabean.
Cremation has taken place. There is no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at the Westmount United Church, Westmount, with Rev. Bob Biggar officiating.
