Margaret "Joan" Comrie (nee Innes)
Surrounded by her family, Joan passed away peacefully in North Bay, Ontario, on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, in her 87th year.
Just as she lived her life with energy and enthusiasm and deeply grounded in her faith, Joan looked forward with anticipation to this next stage of her journey.
Joan was the beloved wife of the late Doug Comrie and loving mother of Charlotte Comrie (Jeff Davidson) of Charlottetown, Laurie (Maria) Comrie of Canmore, Michael (Marcia) Comrie of Winnipeg and Jane (Dave) Haun of North Bay. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Jessica Davidson (Ryan Deighan), John Davidson (Laura Bevan), Alex Davidson, William, Ben, Maeve and Mairin; and by her great-grandson, Quinn Davidson. Joan is survived by her sister Lesley (John) Bowcott and their three children. Joan was predeceased by her father Robert Innes, her mother Charlotte (Laurie) Ells and by her siblings Charles, Frances and Betty.
A memorial service will be held at Christ Church, 890 Vimy Street, on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, Joan asked that if desired, donations in her memory be made to The Leprosy Mission Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
