It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, Margaret Calderwood (MacKay) Galpin on Oct. 13, 2012. She died peacefully after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Glace Bay, N.S., she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah MacKay. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Margaret was a loving and devoted mother, her sparkling eyes and hearty laugh would always put a smile on your face. She enjoyed fishing and walking the shorelines.
