(1917 - 2012). It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Wilfred “Freddie” Youden, of Chamberlains, in his 95th year. He died with his daughter, Lynn by his side, doing what he loved best, working on his bench in the basement. He is predeceased by his wife, Florence (nee Bridden), parents: Philip and Rebecca Youden, infant son John, Robin, brothers: Harry, George, Philip and Jack, sisters: Mildred, Isabel, Emma and baby sister Irene. Leaving to mourn with many fond and precious memories, his devoted daughter, Lynn with whom he resided for the past 16 years, her special friend John Hickey; his son Robert (Audrey) (Chester, Nova Scotia); grandchildren: Heather Martin (Kaushi) (Montreal), Robin Martin (Sonia) (Mount Pearl), Scott Youden (Cara), Penney Youden and Kelly Ferla (Nova Scotia), Erin Youden-Dorries (Florida); nine great-grandchildren; one special great-granddaughter in Montreal, who was the sunshine of his life, Keira Patel; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families including: special nieces Bert, Bun and Ruth. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Sunday, October 14, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m., and on Monday, October 15, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
