MCKENZIE: Robert Bruce McKenzie, age 70 of Swift Current, SK passed away Sunday October 7, 2012 at the Swift Current Care Centre. The Funeral Service was held at 11:00 am, Monday, October 15, 2012 from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Pastoral Assistant Barb Wiebe officiating. The pallbearers were Kathy Nerada, Travis Nerada, Barb Burkey, Donna Dowe, Rod Thomson and Dawn Wason. The Interment Service took place at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, SK. As we know little about Bruce's past, it is unknown as to who he is survived by. Bruce became part of our family at the York Hotel five years ago and is therefore survived by all of the staff and management. Bruce was born in Calgary, AB on June 23, 1942. He worked many places doing many different jobs. We know that Bruce ran heavy equipment in Peace River, Edmonton and Winnipeg. Bruce also was a long haul truck driver and traveled all over Canada and United States. Bruce enjoyed doing find a word puzzles and visiting with friends. Bruce was a kind man and would do anything for anyone. He was a very unselfish person who required very little to be happy. Bruce brought a smile to our faces everyday and will be truly missed by any and all who knew him. In Bruce's memory, memorial donation may be made to the Swift Current Care Centre Auxiliary.
