Marion Mahoney, 95, of Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Lourdes, passed away October 16, 2012 in the Glen Haven Manor.
Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (MacLeod) Campbell.
She was a resident of Lourdes most of her life, growing up in Westville in her younger years. Marion was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. She had been employed with the former Heather Motel, in Stellarton.
She is survived by sons: Raphael (Marion), Pictou; Paul, Stellarton; Michael (Marcia), Lyons Brook; Peter (Susan), New Glasgow; daughters: Marion (Lloyd) Kenny, New Glasgow; Elizabeth Fraser, Stellarton; Patricia (Pat) Brophy, Lourdes; 18 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; sister Thelma (Alan) McQuinn, Ontario; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Ray, son Lyall, granddaughter Janet, brothers: Harold, Clifford, James, sister Jean, son-in-law Weldon Fraser.
A Memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton with Father Donald Boudreau presiding. Burial will take place in the Holy Name Cemetery, Westville.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow or the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
