Robert "Bruce" Morrison
The death of Mr. Robert "Bruce" Morrison, husband of Eleanor (Hyde) Morrison, occurred on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital at the age of 68.
Born in Summerside, PE, he was the son of the late George and Helen (MacQuarrie) Morrison.
Bruce was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Bushville, NB, a member of the K-40 Club and a retired loans officer from CIBC. Bruce enjoyed woodcarving, hunting, fishing and sailing.
Besides his wife Eleanor, Bruce is survived by two daughters: Heather Johnston (Jason) of Regina, SK; Katie Morrison (Frank Byrne) of Edmonton, AB; two sisters: Janice Bates of Montreal, PQ; Nancy Leefe (John) of Liverpool, NS; three grandchildren: Logan, Calder and Jayden; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Bruce is predeceased by brother-in-law, Stan Bates.
The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Bushville, NB, on Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Gordon Thompson officiating.
Burial will take place in Hyde-Crosby Pioneer Cemetery, Meadowbank, PE, on Friday at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Jay MacDonald officiating. A reception will follow at the home of Bruce's sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Miriam and William Lank, 160 Hyde Point Road, Meadowbank, PE.
In Bruce's memory, donations may be made to the Hyde-Crosby Pioneer Cemetery.
