August 9, 1928 - October 16, 2012. Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Mrs. Mercer was 84 years old. Left with loving memories, husband, David Mercer, son, Gary (Marlene) Mercer, daughter, Dawn (Bruce) Coates, sisters: Viola Dawe & Mary Hoyles, grandchildren: David Mercer, Bradley Mercer & Ryan Taylor, step- grandchildren: Deanne, Paul & Brad Coates. Also a large number of relatives and friends. Predeceased by daughter, Wanda Mercer, parents: Eloil & Maude Morgan, brothers: Jim & Fred Morgan. The funeral service will take place at the Salvation Army Citadel, Bay Roberts, with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Bay Roberts on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 2 p.m. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Access Road, Bay Roberts, between the hours of Wednesday 2 - 5 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m., Thursday 10:30 a.m. - 12 Noon, 2 - 5 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m., and Friday 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to The Salvation Army Bay Roberts Building Fund or to the Kidney Foundation.
