Pauline Rumsey Moores (nee LeGrow)

Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, following a brief illness, Mrs. Pauline Moores born September 22, 1924, in Broad Cove, NL. Predeceased by husband John F. Moores (2001); brothers: Charles Lloyd LeGrow, Frank LeGrow, and Raymond LeGrow. Leaving to mourn daughters: Cathy (Bob) McGrath, and Anne (Gary) Pike; one son Neil (Roseanne) Moores; four grandchildren: Karen McGrath (John Grant), Robert McGrath (Shannon Coupland), Amy (Wayne) Chafe, and Colin Pike; 2 great-grandchildren: Aiden and Lily; sisters-in-law: Charlotte LeGrow and Pearl LeGrow; special niece Joan (Rex) LeDrew; as well as many other relatives and friends, including her special friends at Tiffany Village with whom she spent many wonderful dinners and shared much laughter together. Pauline was an active member of George Street United Church Women (UCW) for many years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by many, but leaves behind many fond memories of friendship and love. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Thursday, October 18, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Friday, October 19, 2012, at 1:00 p.m., with interment to follow at the Field of Honour, Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
